Hmm....I got my best kill yet!

Even with the noise at 2,300, I raced a friend with his teg GS (98' 5 speed) AEM CAI, cat-back exhaust, dc 4-1 cc header, unorthodox pullies, aem cam gears (not tuned), and ACT clutch.

I had just my brother, he had a sub box, and two passengers. I raced with one passenger, my jrsc, intake, and thermal cat-back exhaust. I dropped it to D3....the rev's bounced to almost 6k and I floored it. And I pulled on him and beat him by many, many cars. woohoo!

PS. when should I get my belt replaced? I have had the same belt since september 2000.

Seriously though, I've had the same belt since August and there's not sign of wear. I always make a good check of it when doing an oil change. I guess as long as there's good pulley alignment and tension on the belt it should last a couple years IMO (assuming you have the "GOOD" JR pulleys)

BTW, whats up with the noise, still no idea what it is? I was thinking about that on my way home last night, what the hell could it be?

That's your best Kill? No FI and 2 passengers.Anyway,If you drive hard your belt's will wear a hell of alot quicker than if you don't.

I had a kid in a newer GSR w/ some rims, exhaust, and euros w/ hyper whites hop on the interstate last night beside me... then blew past me then let off and gunned it a few times. My car has an attitude problem, and decided she didnt like being treated like that... so when I put it in 3rd and dropped it, she tore past him like he was sitting still. I only gave him third gear to get him curious. I'm not for sure what it was, but I think it was when it barked the tires at 75 that scared him and he just dropped behind me and kept quite allll the way to my exit. Wise kid.

Plus the flames it occasionally shoots out when I toy with the throttle in front of people tends to ward off any would be challangers. (I'm running a little rich, ooops) Guess he didnt want any after all... sometimes the races that arent even races are the best!

Thanks JR Civic. I just ran a 16.3 today at the track and got a best RT of .6 seconds. I didn't win much, only once but i sure had fun.

There is no shame in your game Tom... any kill is just that... a kill. Your opponent in the Integra is still thinking the same thing as anyone who is surprised by a FI Honda: "Damn, I cant believe that a Honda just beat me". Be proud of your accomplishments: this is part of what will make you a better racer... the hardware will do the rest.

Never forget that you must learn to WALK before you run.

It seems that some of the faster "runners" on this board have forgotten this.
